Event Details
Rising Pre-K through 2nd grade students are invited to gear up for school by joining us for a special storytime with Mia Nelson, ABC13 reporter and Miss Lynchburg Volunteer! Mia will be reading her book, "The New Cat in Town," which emphasizes individuals' worth and purpose.
"Leo is the new cat in town. His first day at this new school took a turn for the worse, but on his journey to compete for the Shining Star trophy in the school talent show, he discovers his true value. Leo is not an ordinary cat. He has a special talent for the saxophone and uniquely colored eyes. In the same way, every boy or girl who reads this book can realize that they too, are gifted, have talents for a great purpose, and are valued and loved beyond measure."
Attendance is limited; first-come, first served. No registration is required. Please stop by the Youth Services desk for a nametag when you arrive. This program is for rising Pre-K through 2nd grade students and their parents/caregivers; in order to maximize the number of spots available for children, we ask that you limit the number of adults in your party.
