Drop in between 5 and 7 pm to test your chess skills against other enthusiasts. No sign-up is required, and it is open to anyone from beginner to master. Open to teens and adults. 

Bring your imagination to Builders Club at the Downtown Branch every Wednesday! This program will provide LEGO®, DUPLO®, and more!  

Bring your imagination to Tiny Builders at the Miller Center! This program will feature Mega Bloks, KEVA Planks, MAGNA-TILES, and more!

For children ages 3-5 and their parents/guardians.

Kids of all ages (and their parents/caregivers) are welcome to stop by the Downtown Branch for a drop-in Family Craft Day! Crafts will also be available in take-home format if desired, while supplies last.

Learn about your rights and responsibilities in everyday legal situations in partnership with Virginia Legal Aid. This month's workshop will focus on garnishments.

Warrior Success Academy is taking over the Downtown Branch from 10:30 to 11:30 this Saturday morning! Are you or a kid in your life interested in learning martial arts or self-defense? This is the perfect opportunity to try it out!

Come to a fantastic new book club in conjunction with Starr Hill Brewery! At each meeting, we'll discuss the ultimate question: is the book or the adaptation better?

Drop in any time between 10 am and 12:30 pm to make a themed craft curated by our Adult Services staff. All supplies are provided!

Kids ages 6 to 10 are encouraged to join us for STEAM Team! Each month's program will focus on one or more STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) elements through fun, hands-on activities and experiments.
