In honor of National Poetry Month, our Drop-In Craft is Black-Out Poetry. Visit us at the main library and create your own poetry using pages from recycled books and markers. All supplies are provided.

Toddler Tales storytime is open to children ages 2 & 3, plus their caregivers and siblings.

Are you looking for employment or social services assistance? Do you need to speak to someone from the Virginia Employment Commission or Human Services in person? Has it been a while since you've had a check up?

Join us at our Downtown Branch for Family Storytime! This series will feature stories, songs, rhymes, and movement activities, and will also include an in-person craft activity at each session! 

Preschoolers ages 3-5* (and parents/guardians) are invited to join us on Thursday mornings at 10:30 AM for a storytime followed by a hands-on activity focusing on kindergarten readiness.

Toddler Tales storytime is open to children ages 2 & 3, plus their caregivers and siblings.

Hang out in the teen room every Tuesday from 2:30-4:30 pm and enjoy snacks, games, and more!

Parents/guardians do not attend. All attendees must be between the ages of 13 and 17. 

Children ages 6-8 are invited to join us at the Library for STEAM! Attendees will learn about various science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts through hands-on activities in this bi-monthly program.

Please join LPL every Tuesday night for a game of chess.

All levels are welcome and boards can be borrowed from the Adult Services desk. Players meet in the Adult side of the library in front of the newspaper shelves.
