Kids ages 2-5 (plus their parents/caregivers & siblings*) are invited to join us for Family Storytime at 10:30 AM or 11:15 AM on Thursdays!

Kids ages 5-10: Read a library book to Jack, a friendly therapy dog certified by Therapy Dogs International!

Kids ages 3 & up (and their parents/guardians) are invited to join us for one big, happy dance party! There will be a mix of directed dance and free movement (i.e., making up your own moves) indoors.

Summer Lunch (provided by Lynchburg City Schools) is returning to the Library! A free lunch for kids ages 18 and younger will be served on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.

Team up with the Virginia Family Nutrition Program for Summer Food, Summer Moves.

A program designed to raise awareness about the benefits of drinking water. Information and resources will be included for kids to learn about healthy drinking options, including the importance of staying hydrated.

Cooks & Books, our fun, virtual cooking class for kids, is back for 2023! Join Victoria and Rho in celebrating some favorite children’s books with easy, literary-inspired recipes that you’ll love to make--and eat!

LPL welcomes local artist Christina Davis!

Ms. Davis will be guiding us through a painting session to the theme of our Summer Reading Program- All Together Now. All supplies will be provided, we just need you!

Please join LPL every Tuesday night for a game of chess.

All levels are welcome and boards can be borrowed from the Adult Services desk. Players meet in the Adult side of the library in front of the newspaper shelves.
